A prayer for election day....

Lord, give us the government we need, not the government we deserve!

Nope, we just got the one we deserve. We have chosen needless suffering instead of self-discipline. I think I could deal with the suffering; but it's depressing to know that the ones with the power will not take responsibility for the predictable and inevitable failures of their policies. It will always be Goldstein.

I feel very alienated right now, as if my country isn't what I thought it was, (much like my church ceased to be what it was.) What will endure?

Well, I can answer that. The word of the Lord endures forever.
