Congressman Alcee Hastings said this about Governor Palin:
Anybody toting guns and stripping moose don’t care too much about what they do with Jews and blacks. So, you just think this through.

Evidently, due to global warming, it's so cold in Alaska that even the moose are wearing parkas and coveralls during the moose season. Exactly how cold? Well, here's a hint; moose season in Alaska is in September. Imagine what those beasts wear come January.
Of course, this might just be the bigoted ramblings of a brain impaired Democrat from Florida, but I tend to prefer the other explanation. Take a drive, save a moose from freezing to death.

Not that there's really any rationality to this AT ALL, but putting the best possible spin on it, as opposed to all the crazy and ugly possibilities that might also be the case, he's saying that people who engage in hands-on, outdoor activities with the end result of feeding oneself apart from the supermarket are somehow a threat to humans of specific ethnic groups.
That's the BEST possible spin I can come up with, and it STILL makes ABSOLUTELY NO SENSE!
There is a reason that Mr. Hastings was impeached and convicted for corruption and perjury when a federal judge. The scariest thing, IMO, is that his district overlooked that and elected him to Congress anyways.
I guess I shouldn't take the anti-global warming rhetoric of a convicted perjurer seriously, but shoot, it is a LOT of fun. :^)
Hey, I have an idea! Let's start a movement to start referring to the congressman as "Mr. Injustice Hastings."
Or "Dishonorable Perjurer Hastings," to build on the (weird) habit of calling a Congressman "The Honorable..."
