It looks to me from the blog post you linked, that the whole jenkem thing was a hoax perpetrated by a law enforcement type, and there actually isn't a need to persuade anyone not to use it. Am I reading that right?
Of course now we know that every time we want to take something for our sniffles, we're possibly complicit in the manufacture of illegal drugs, so what else is new?
I sure hope it's a hoax, and mega-dittos on the pseudoephedrine thing. The stuff that isn't regulated doesn't work quite the same....
Personally, as one fighting with weight a bit, I appreciate the fact that every pharmacist is telling me that I look like an emaciated crank user. :^)
