Let's say everything he says about Fox News is true. Is structuring your news network one way instead of another way actually a legitimate grounds for criticism? Is the President also going to criticize NBC for not having enough blondes or CBS for an ugly studio? Since when is it an objective failing to hold a point of view? It's a nearly unique feature of American journalism that the presumption of objectivity is considered paramount in any "real" news organization, but there's nothing written down anywhere that says it must be that way and nearly every other culture in the world (maybe Canada would be the exception) doesn't even share the assumption.
So it's just another manifestation of Obamaite arrogance: if it's not the way WE think you should do it, it's WRONG. And not WRONG as a matter of personal opinion (the GOP presidents of our generation never hid their distaste for certain news outlets, though they were usually polite about it), but wrong in the sense that it needs to be made a matter of administration policy to attempt to "correct" people's thinking on the matter. It's the hundredth example this month of the administration thinking their job is to tell us how to think and how to live.
