Lottery for accountants!

Evidently, the IRS promises to reward those who report tax fraud with a hefty portion of the tax obligation recovered. I dare suggest that it's a good time to be an honest accountant, and that if the IRS had started this program a little bit earlier, we might have been spared Enron and Sarbanes-Oxley.

Could be. On the other hand, I can envision a lot of honest competitors of corrupt companies gladly hiring such people.

That said, if the amount of corporate tax evasion truly is in the hundreds of billions of dollars, while the total corporate income tax collections are about the same, we would have to guess that honest corporations are like hen's teeth. Yikes.
