Some Excellent News

Eating nuts, especially oily ones like hazelnuts, is evidently good for heart health. Hazelnuts can be found in a really nice form in spreads such as Nutella.

To make matters even better, the chocolate found in Nutella is also known to be good for your heart. God is good!

I've already started picking up the pecans that are rapidly becoming plentious around the homestead.

This will do well to offset that bacon...

Alas, I'm not sure I eat enough bacon to really impact my heart much. I tend to use one strip (thick sliced) to keep my cast iron seasoned, and most of that goes to my kids. It shows in my blood lipids/cholesterol profile, which is about the same as it was a decade ago.

I'm just glad that eating yummy food can be good for you. Other examples include blueberries, coffee, grapes, and grass fed beef--evidently the fats in it are better than corn fed.
