A victory

My friend, Tim Voigt, died sometime Monday night or Tuesday morning--he had suffered for years with ALS, or Lou Gehrig's disease, but through it all, he maintained a cheerful composure that....people whose major trouble in life is losing a job would do well to emulate, to put it mildly!

I saw him Monday evening as he was preparing to go on a shopping trip, and thought he was doing pretty well, so I'm surprised.  That said, a formerly wheelchair-bound man is dunking in Heaven.  Praise God, and pray for his son and the rest of his family as they grieve his loss.

Rest in joy, Tim.

its always good to keep in mind somebody who has it worse.

been meaning to blog about an inspiration of mine, a dear dear buddy from the early days who is no longer with us. he was on my mind while i was going through my struggles (actually, blessings)three years ago.

every time i start a post, i start crying... so the posts (it would take several) have never been done.

been trying to summarize him (and the 'us') to make it less lengthy. havent had much luck.
to do him justice, it would take several words. he was a complex kinda simple.
born on base in japan to an asian mother, his dad was mexican. yet, when he looked in the mirror he saw a white kid, while everybody else thought he was filipino.
