Friday Babe

No, not what you think. Introducing my 5th child and first son, Samuel, born May 4, held here by my mom. Which explains why I haven't been posting much lately. 7 lbs, 13 oz, 19" long.

Mom & baby are doing great, and Sam's big sisters love having a little brother. And holding him, of course.

De-lurking here to say congratulations! I've missed your blogging, but I completely understand the reason now. Blessings on your family!

Well, you are a bit slow... 4th time was the charm for us. ;^)

Congratulations!

Now the family knows that you have it in ya! Though, aren't your girls the only ones in the family in something like recorded history?

Quite right, Mark--I've been joking that I finally found out that there indeed was a Y chromosome in my body, and now I've up & got rid of it. :^)

Thanks, all. (and my wife's name is "Connie")

Did you get your neck-rub or are still giving the mother of your man-child the service and solicitude that her present to you so richly deserves?

Having a boy is definitely different! You may have to socialize him a bit more than you'd think due to the over influence of the XX-types that will be coddling him all day whilst you're at work. This would involve shooting, eating good(bad) food, belching, spitting, etc... :^)

Ah, but fortunately for Bike Bubba and baby Samuel, the XX-types like to play rough (I've witnessed it) and the eldest one has at least one firearm to her name.

...and apparently, a talking dog to hang out with. I'm not sure, but I'd consider that rather manly.
