Yet another reason....

that hunting is a good thing. I bet that if these deer had been shot at more often, they'd be a little more reluctant to attack innocent students. Same thing goes for gators in Florida and cougars in California. Praise God for His good gift to Noah, repeated to Peter. Take, kill, and eat. Yum.

Make sure you do something to protect the carpet before you put the carcass in your minivan, though--or get another real man vehicle, a pickup.

Amen Brother! I hate the gator restriction here in FL. Basically, you can't touch a gator, you can only call animal control and wait for them to come, by that time, the gator's gone since animal control has to call a licensed trapper.

One woman shot a 3 ft alligator as it was on her back porch b/c she didn't want it to get inside the house where her toddler was. Someone called about the shots and the authorities came and gave her a warning. She'd have been charged had the gator died.

There's like 1 or 2 million gators in FL and we can't do anything to protect human lives. It's ludicrous that 3 humans were killed by gators last week.

This is the one thing bad about laws, once you pass it, it's difficult to pass another law nullifying the prior as it no longer applies. The ban was passed a long time ago as gators were endangered, now only more people killed by gators can get the FL legislatures to do something about it.

And they're delicious too! It always amazes me when government types have these "plans" to "control" unwanted critters and ignore the easier, less costly option of loosening hunting/fishing restrictions on those species and providing recipes. Go figure...
