Dangers of Cross Country, continued
A couple of pictures from last night's meet. Not to brag or anything, but my daughters' team won, as did the boys' homeschool varsity, and I'm pretty sure the junior high boys, too.
I should have gotten more pictures of my kids jogging barefoot after the race. Not only do they get to run on grass, but it's grass where they don't have to worry about things like broken glass.
It's hard to make fun of Socal to a native......because they always know something even more absurd. :^)
But to be totally honest and fair, I'm pretty sure I wouldn't let my kids run barefoot in a fair number of parks around the Twin Cities, either for about the same reason.

Congrats!
Also, envy... our cross country runners have to run on concrete paths mostly. Actually running on grass? -sigh-

Or razorblades. Some ... person.... has been seeding parks in the SD area with razor blades, carefully pointed up to cut little feet...
