Now that's different
I'm currently in the process for three jobs, and interestingly, I've been at least temporarily rejected for two of them. I don't know what's up--whether it's that a favored candidate has bowed out, or whether a polite response to the rejection letter got me back into the mix, or what--but if you're out there looking for work, do keep in mind that it seems that these days a "rejection" isn't for good.
Not quite sure I know stuff--I've got degrees and certifications, and I think I know stuff, but they don't always pay you for knowing things. Implied being able to do things, yes, but you've got to make that connection.
And you're no dumb bunny--will pray for you as you navigate the waters of being older and without those "certifications" and such.

the Wife and i were talking recently... and it comes down to what i've got: labor.
it decreases in value as i age.
but i knew this years ago... it is why i sit on acreage (that should be valuable) that i cannot sell.
you will land someplace. I pray everyday that it happens soon.
