It appears that Johns Hopkins University, in their LGBTQ... documentation, is referring to "women" as "non-men". Um, yes, women are not men, but I believe George Orwell said something to us about how it was "doubleplusungood" to replace perfectly good words via "Newspeak".
Progressives; again, 1984 was a warning, not a policy recommendation!

Um, you can call my coach (or her girlfriend) a non-man if you like. I recommend wearing your running shoes and staying out of range of flying kettlebells, however.
The women in my home did not throw kettlebells, but had a similar response. It seems to me that the alphabet community is being misogynistic in a way that patriachalists never imagined.
