Inspiration

This week's assignment in art class for my son is to illustrate a Bible verse or passage.  He chose Esther 7:6-10.  (the hanging of Haman)


Gotta make some Hamantaschen for that boy sometime....

This would only get more masculinity points if it was translated (as I have heard is proper historically) to the impalement of Haman...

His sisters were horrified, at which I pointed out the long history of artistic renditions of atrocities like Crucifixion art and "Judith and Holofernes". Sometimes we try so hard to eliminate cruelty, we eliminate reality and our own humanity. Judges 4:21

(I actually have a friend whose daughter is named in honor of that passage...and yes, I'm partially at fault)
